First of all, collect the basic information regarding the subject like its eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, best books etc. Analyze the complete UGC NET Syllabus and make a preparation strategy. Yes, you can appear in the exam but make sure you will qualify in M.A. With minimum 55% or 50%, if you belong from the general or reserved category respectively. NTA has also released the UGC NET 2019 Application form on 9th September till 9th October 2019. After clearing the UGC NET exam make sure you will qualify your Master's degree within 3 years of duration. As per the UGC NET rules, if you fail to clear your Masters in 3 years your qualifying certificate will be disqualified. I hope the above information will help you out. All the Best.

Yes, as per your qualification you are eligible to appear in the UGC NET exam under Sociology or Management. I have written or because as per the NTA guidelines a candidate can appear in the exam for 1 subject only in one session. You are prohibited to fill two forms at a time. But there are certain other criteria also which you need to fulfil to appear in the exam is your age limit. If you are applying for the JRF the, your age must not be more than 30 years of age. After you have qualified the NET exam, you can apply to different universities based on your score. To start teaching, at school level you have to give CTET exam.
