Candidates who pursued master's degree can apply for the National Eligibility Exam. The aspirants who pursued their post graduation in the engineering field can apply for CSIR NET Exam.
As per the eligibility criteria of CSIR UGC NET Exam, candidates who have secured at least 55% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for it. There is no age limit for those who want to apply for CSIR NET Assistant Professor. For JRF, the maximum age limit is 28 years. I hope it helps.

Hello,
The UGC NET Exam is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency in June and December months. If you prepare well, then you crack this exam in 6 months only. There are two Papers in UGC NET Exam I. e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for all the subject. The questions from Paper 1 will be based on General Aptitude type. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research conducts the CSIR NET Exam for selecting the candidate for the post of Assistant Professor and also for awarding Junior Research Fellowship. The exam is conducted for five major Science streams -
Physical Science
Chemical Science
Mathematical Science
Earth Science
Life Science
As you have pursued M.Sc. In Chemistry, you can apply for CSIR NET Chemical Sciences. But make sure you meet with all the required eligibility criteria for the exam. The exam is conducted twice a year (June and December). You can apply for any of these two sessions. Hope it helps.
