The NEST exam of NET will be conducted in the month of December, 2018 probably under of control of new regulatory authority, because UGC is going to be scrap and the NET exam will have online pattern for which notification is yet to come.

As you said you have a Master's degree in Economics, so you can appear for UGC NET in Economics itself. You don't need to choose any other subject under Economics. Make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks (For general) or 50% aggregate marks (for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category). If you want to apply for JRF, then your age must not exceed 30 years. For Assistant Professor, this type of conditions are not applied.

For NET, you need to have secured at least 55% marks in Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognized college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria.

Hello, You can apply for CSIR NET Exam if you have completed your:Master of Science
Integrated B S and MS
Bachelor of Technology
B.Pharma
MBBS
or, any Equivalent Degree and the final year students can also apply for it. The Age limit for Candidates is 28 years. Age Relaxation is possible for the SC/ST/OBC/ Female/PWD Students.

UGC NET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science and Applications, etc.).
