While not mandatory but it's highly beneficial if you have a bachelor's degree in the subject you want to teach. For example, a BSc for Math, if you want to teach Maths or a BA in History if you are intended to teach History. However this doesn't lessen your chances of cracking an interview if you possess the right skill in the field you are interested in.Hope this helped!

Candidate should have a minimum qualification among these courses such as, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.Ed degree and  is mandatory for all boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards).
