These are universities with minimal fees. But the living costs are expensive. In Munich;
Accommodation (by studentenwerk) - 240-300 euros
Food (self-cooking)- 130 euros
Internet -20 euros
Transport + tuition fees- 150 euros
Total- 540 euros/ month or Rs. 43000/ month
If you work in a part-time job, you can cover your monthly expenses.

In Germany, most of the courses are taught in German and some in English. If the medium of you course is German you will have to give Test Daf (German language test) after class 12. After you pass it, you can apply at TUM on its website. You should have a passport with yourself. After you are selected you need to search for accommodation, which is hard to get at reasonable rates. Most are for 400 euro-1200 euro. But you can apply for accommodation via studentenwerk Munich to get at 240 euro-300 euro. According to visa regulations you must have 8000 euro in your bank account when you arrive in Germany for studying. Munich is the most ex

Hi Roshan,
You could have but the problem is they don't have BCA. In fact BCA is only found in India. You can apply for B.Sc computer science etc. To study here you must also have around 90% in 10+2 and know German language. The other issue is you can't apply to German universities after 12th, they need 13 years education. So you can complete the first year of a Bachelor degree course in India and then apply.

Hi Rakesh,
Unfortunately, Diplomas are not considered equivalent to high school qualification in Germany and not accepted as a qualifier to Bachelor's degree. You can enrol in B.Tech program in India and complete the first year with very good percentile and thereafter you can apply to German universities. Overall, you will require an outstanding academic record.

Hi, this is something you should be knowing Utkarsh. Please don't study abroad if you don't know what you want to study and why. Mechanical engineering itself has so many branches, identify the area of study you enjoy the most. Sort out your career plans. TUM is one of the most selective and I am afraid that 7.5 CGPA is not enough. To be considered for admissions, you must have a strong research profile, publications, patent work, etc. Strong SOP and LORs would be required. Knowledge of German language and perhaps 1 year research oriented work experience will help.
