This institution gives 50% weightage to the marks obtained in 12th and hence good score in board exam matters a lot. This institution over the years has acquired quite a good reputation for not only academics but also for good placements. This causes many students to apply and this in turn increases the closing ranks or closing percentile that students must get for a reasonable chance of getting admission. Though this institute does not put out this information in public domain, one has to go by the secondary or tertiary sources of information. As per these, one must obtain at least 50 percentile to have a fighting chance of getting admission. Merely fulfilling basic minimum eligibility criteria will not help.Best wishes to you.

This institution gives admissions to students based on their performances in JEE Mains or MHT CET or many other entrance exams conducted nationally. Admissions are not restricted to only those students who have appeared for JEE mains, what is given to students who have appeared in entrance exam conducted by the state of Maharashtra called mht CET also along with many other nationality held entrance exams for engineering.               There is no information available about at what percentile of JEE mains, the admissions got closed in the previous years on the official website of the university. However it is understood that students with percentiles above 70 got admissions in different streams of engineering, with percentile going beyond 90 for CSE. Once we understand this, then it's quite easy to analyse that with 75 percentile in JEE Mains a student's chances of getting admission in School of Food Technology of NIT for B Tech are very very bright.Best wishes to you.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, comparing North Maharashtra University at Jalgaon, which is public or state university with MIT which is a private university at Pune is okay as far as academics or placements is concerned. But it's not correct to compare fees. This is so on two counts. Firstly, fees charged by public institutions are many a times subsidised by the Govt whereas fees of students have to cover all the expenses of the institution. Secondly, public universities have plenty of colleges affiliated to it which could again be public or private. Meaning fees for identical courses will be different in two colleges under the same university. This is not the case with deemed to be or private universities. Here college and university are one and the same for all practical purposes. So is the case here in the query.          Fees for food technology courses at undergraduate level in MIT is INR7.04L, for PG it's INR3.42L and for PG Diploma it's INR84200.00. On the other hand fees vary under different colleges under North Maharashtra University for undergraduate courses from INR1.55L to INR4L. Similar is the case for PG and PG Diploma courses in food technology and even in other courses also. Best wishes to you.
