It completely depends on your interest. HR and Telecom are poles apart. As you are from electronics background, going for Telecom. MBA makes more sense. If you choose telecom management from a good institute like SITM, Pune you'll be placed in managerial roles rather than core technical roles. If you want to change your path completely then go for HR from a good institute like SCMHRD, Pune.

Definitely, the course at SITM is tailormade for students from electronics background. I too am an ECE graduate and felt very easy to adapt to the MBA course at SITM. Here, you'll not only learn technology related subjects, but the managerial and practical aspects of those subjects.

Consider all the parameters like ROi, total living expenses etc. You would find better placements in We-School Mumbai and Bangalore both.

Telecom industry is in mess now. Small players are winding up and bottom line of big players is being hit by Jio. It will take some time for the industry to revive. Indian Telecom companies are restructuring their manpower, under theses circumstances, MBA with telecom specialisation is not a good idea. You are advised to opt for generic MBA so that you have wider choices for a career in various sectors in different management functions.

Hi Varun,
Suggesting an university will require that individual universities be checked and your complete profile details be evaluated. Among all the universities you mentioned SJSU and UTD are kind of reputed in comparison to the others. So, you should actually target them well or accept their offer if you get one. Since these are not the tier 1 universities, you should be able to apply to them latest by April or May. Please check the university websites for deadlines, they are clearly mentioned. Apply to all the universities, it is wise to shortlist 5 to 6 universities in total. Wait for the offer.
