I assume you want to be CEO of Small & Medium Enterprises or Large org. You may do B.Tech as lateral entry. Then you may do MBA from Tier I preferably in Sales & Marketing. If you do exceptionally well in job you may grow to CEO by your hard work and dedication.

The course structure is almost same for both the branches. It differs only by one or two subjects. You can definitely get placed in the same companies in which the ECE students get placed. However, telecommunication engineering is mainly focused in communication so companies like Airtel, Wipro Communication and other core communication companies come for placements for telecommunication students.
Talking about the CTC, companies give a little more package to ECE students but then at the end of the day it is upto you how can you crack the placements. You might end up having a higher figure than an ECE student.

according to me there is difference in job opportunities between ece and tce, however the difference is small.if you are interested in tce then go for it . best of luck! !!!!

Don't look for maximum package all that from now try to gain knowledge as much as you can its more value than package. highest salary according to 2015 is 12 lakh per annum
