No, the Territorial Army (TA) is not a full-time job. The salary includes basic pay, allowances, and benefits. Role- The TA is part of the Regular Army and assists the civil administration in dealing with natural calamities and maintaining essential services. Becoming a permanent officer- TA officers can become permanent officers if they meet the educational and training requirements set by the regular army.

Territorial Army 2024 Notification: Indian Army will publish the official notification for civilian candidates to join Territorial Army as an Officer through PIB-2024. The Territorial Army 2024 registrations will start on the first week of July 2024 and end on July last week of 2024.The Indian Army has released the official notification for the recruitment in the Territorial Army in 2024. Applications are invited from gainfully employed citizens of India (male & female) to  don the uniform and serve the Nation as Territorial Army Officers. Gainfully employed Citizen aged between 18 to 42 years old can apply for the Territorial Army.
