Along with current affairs, you need to polish your English and general science. You will be asked some synonyms-antonyms and basic grammer. Also, you need to know science related to radio and camera.
It is best to refer a journalism entrance exam book. These books are easily available in market. You can also browse for such questions with answers on internet.
Hope this will help you.
All the best.

Hello Siddharth,
I think that's too early. In the first year (2nd semester), it is important to focus more on your engineering courses than MBA exams.
You will be eligible for MBA exams only during your final semester exams and so it will be ideal to prepare from the 3rd year or final year.

I think you should mainly focus on past year's papers. Rest books of Arihant are perfect but no doubt, follow any book but with full dedication.

Yes, of course, you can start the preparation of MBA from the 2nd year of B.Tech but only if you are able to handle it.

There are no pros and cons of starting preparation of MBA from the 2nd year of B.Tech if you can handle the studies without any problem. But if you cannot handle both these studies, you would lack behind with something or the other. So, if you can handle up your studies you can start the preparation from the 2nd year. It is good and if you can't then complete your B.Tech and then start your MBA preparations.

B.Tech in CSE or IT has more scope as compared to other specialization because these are evergreen fields. Although there is little slow down in IT field but it will never end up. You can also choose Mechanical and Civil. These are also good fields. Also, it depends on your interest and career goals.
