The university offers admissions to various courses such as MA (foreign languages), BFA, MFA, MIRM, MHRM, MSc, BVoc, PGD Business Management, MCom, etc. through Departmental Tests i.e. candidates have to apply and appear for the test conducted by the concerned faculty. In some of the courses offered by the faculty members of AMU, there will be no admission test/ departmental test. The admissions for these courses will be based solely on qualifying examinations. The concerned department/faculty will share the qualifying examination and admission criteria with the applicants only.

Admission to the two-year MBA programme at ICFAI University Dehradun, facilitated by IBS Dehradun, is based on candidates' valid scores in IBSAT, conducted by IBS. The authorities releases SMIT 2025 results in the form of a rank list a few days after the exam is over. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and rank through the SMIT result. It is to be noted that the authorities will not use any other methods, such as post or fax, to declare the result of SMIT 2025.
