The university offers a variety of scholarships to international students. The scholarships for freshman international students are as follows:1. National Scholarships: It is offered automatically to students based on their merit and academic scores. Students must submit their SAT and ACT scores. The value of the scholarships is as follows:National Distinction Scholarship – USD 40,000 for students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and 28 passing university hoursNational Hispanic Scholarship – USD 8,000 for students with a minimum of 1270 SAT scores and an ACT score of 27 or above2. A cumulative GPA of 3.25 is required for renewalTexas State Achievement Scholarship – The scholarship ranges between USD 24,000 and USD 32,000. Students are required to have a minimum SAT score of 1330-1410 and an ACT score of 29-31Texas State Distinguished Scholarship – A scholarship of USD 16,000 is awarded in four years, i.e., USD 4,000 per year to students with a minimum SAT score of 1060-1150 and an ACT score of 21-233. Competitive Scholarships: It is offered to all students with good grades and excellent academic backgrounds. Students are required to submit the scholarship application before mid-January. It includes various scholarships such as the Terry Foundation Scholarship of USD 106,000, McCoy Scholarship of Excellence (USD 32,000), Ingram Engineering Scholarship (USD 32,000), Rodeo Austin Scholarship (USD 16,000), etc.

The Texas State University generally takes 3 - 6 weeks to revert back to it’s undergraduate applicants. However, for graduate applicants, it reverts back witn 4-6 weeks.
