It depends on the interest of the student. If you are interested in marketing, then opt MBA. Otherwise, GATE is also a better option.

You can get placement after Diploma also but I suggest you to do B.Tech and then apply for placement as you will be placed at higher post.

Students who do Diploma from any branch can give the entrance exam and after that, they can apply for any branch as they wish in B.Tech college as lateral entry.

In textile, there is a good scope. It only depends on the hard work you do. There is 100% placement and the salary increases at a higher rate as you get experience. So, to be a textile engineer is better.

Lateral entry seats are fixed in the college. In every branch 5-6 seats are reserved for the lateral entry. So, you should have higher rank under 150 to get this college.
