Thapar University offers a two-year full-time MCA course at the postgraduate level. To be eligible for Thapar University MCA admission, candidates must have a Bachelors degree of a minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate. For TIET MCA admission, it is also mandatory that a student must have studied Mathematics at Class 12 level or at the graduation level. Candidates seeking admission must apply online before its last date. It is necessary that each course aspirant meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. Hence, the applicant must have passed Class 12 with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST students) Or a three-year Diploma in the relevant stream. Moreover, the university may relax requirements for candidates with extraordinary achievements in the areas of sports, Music, Dance and Painting, Social Work, Software Development, etc. with passing marks in Class 12. Further, students must also hold the relevant documents during form filling and at the time of admission.

To be eligible for Thapar University BBA course admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of any five subjects (One of the subjects must be English). Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology considers JEE Main scores as one of the factors for admission to its BTech programme. However, the institute also has certain eligibility criteria, including a minimum aggregate score of 60% in PCM Physics Chemistry Mathematics) in the qualifying examination. If you have less than 60% in PCM, it is unlikely that you will be eligible for admission to Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. It is advisable to check the institutes eligibility criteria and admission process before applying.

It's possible to get admission at Thapar University, based only on board marks as 50% of the seats, admission is through JEE Main. While for the other 50%, admission is done based on the 10+2 score. In order to get admission based on merit, you need to score above 70% in 10+2.
