On the merits of their hard work and potential in terms of Computer Science Engineering, the brilliant students of Chandigarh University have set a new benchmark by securing an international package of Rs. 1.7 crores and a national package of Rs. 54.75 LPA. Placements: Many top companies, like De Shaw, Microsoft, and Apple, visited our campus. The highest salary package offered was 43 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 11 LPA. Even in the third year, many top companies took students for internships, and approximately 95% of the batch got placed.

Both the institute are good equally, but Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. Thapar has various international rankings, excellent placement records, a qualified team of professionals as faculty members who provide the best possible guidance. Although VIT has a better ranking but grooming wise TIET does the work better. Thapar University is better than VIT in placements as well as in academics. Thapar focus is always on quality whereas VIT's main focus is on quantity. Placement statistics of both colleges is almost same but as the number of students in VIT is too many therefore Thapar would always be at the upper hand.
If we compare both institutions on the basis of studies, faculty, quality if education, and placements, I would totally recommend you VIT Vellore over Thapar University.

Thapar university is better over CU in many terms such as placements, crowd, facilities, reputation etc. However, Thapar charges more than CU but it is worth to take admission in Thapar. Chandigarh University B.E. (Hons. ). In CSE (Information Security) in Collaboration with IBM course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 21 genuine verified students while VIT Vellore same course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 students at Shiksha. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT.
