You have a great score in board exams. Since only 30 percent of the seats are filled with board exam scores, the competition will be too high and so it is difficult to say whether you can get CSE or not. But there are good chances for you to get the other branches. So try your best at the counseling to get the branch you wish for. Good luck.

Hi,
Kindly predict your college in this college predictor. JEE Mains rank predictor is an online tool which predicts the candidates rank range and probable colleges based on the difficulty level of the examination, average marks scored in JEE Mains and seats available in IITs, NITs, GFTIs, and other SFTIs. The rank predicted might not be accurate but it certainly does give an idea to the aspirant. Know your college admission chances based on your JEE Main Rank, Home State, Caste, Gender, etc. here:

It's not possible for a general category even if you belong to EWS to get admission in NITs with this rank!
You can only go with college predictor tool to know in which colleges you are eligible to apply. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor.

No doubt, Thapar is far better than Chitkara. If you are really interested in electrical engineering. Then you should opt for Thapar. You have to decide in which field you want to build your career.
All the best for your future.
