The most important point is that DAIICT does't have computer science. The course is ICT- information and communication technology which is sort of combination of ECE and CS and some people can do minors in computational science which is different from computer science. If you speak of the coding world come join DA. I have friends in a couple of colleges you mentioned so according to me your preferential order could be
DAIICT, LNMIT, DTU, VIT, Nirma, Thapar. Hope this helps.

Thapar University expected cut off is obviously less than IITs and NITs but not that much less. It would safely be upto GATE score of 450 to 500 and above. There is a separate entrance exam if all seats are not filled through GATE.
You should apply for that.
Best wishes

The cutoff varies subject to every year's JEE Mains difficulty level. You can check for the previous year cutoffs on the website www.thapar.edu.
For an idea, the cutoff may go as high as 180 for Computer Engineering and as low as 80 for Chemical and other less popular branches.

Not considering the price factors, I would suggest for Thapar University, because of the quality of education, decent placements and the overall personality development. Moreover, Thapar University has an agreement with Trinity College of Dublin, Ireland for a student exchange programme after 2nd year, which is one of the finest colleges in the world.

To know the projected cut off for Thapar University, you can check the previous year cutoffs for BE courses on the website www.thapar.edu - Admissions -BE - Cut off for third round of counselling.
The cutoff for the next year admissions is subject to vary with the difficulty level of the JEE Mains exam.
For an idea, the outside Punjab cutoff for CSE can lie in the range 150-190 marks.

You should go for DAIICT, GANDHINAGAR because the placement opportunities of this institute are excellent. According to last year's placement survey, 3 students got placed with the highest salary of 40 lakhs in AMAZON INDIA from this institute.
