The Gandhigram University has not released the 2023 placement statistics yet. However, according to the NIRF report 2023, 173 UG programme students were placed during the placements in the year 2022. The median package offered to UG (three-year) students stood at INR 1.8 LPA.

Gandhigram University provides an opportunity for the BCom programme students to apply for various scholarships. The eligible SC, ST, OBC and, PwD category students can avail the Central Sector Scholarship through the respective State Government. Gandhigram Rural Institute BCom scholarships also include remittance of tuition fees for SC/ ST/ SCC and, PwD category students.

If there is no entrance examination required to get admitted to B.Sc Computer Science at Gandhigram Rural Institute, then the management quota category can be considered. Informally, the student may contact the admission office of this institute and ask about the number of seats available for this quota for the B.Sc Computer Science program. The Gandhigram Rural Institute campus is spread across over 200 acre of land. The university students are provided health services by the Kasturba Hospital from Chinnalapatti. The campus is big and equipped with all the modern facilities. The students prefer a comfortable stay and the university is known to provide same to students. The vibrant campus gives admission to diverse students without any discrimination.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University has separate hostels for both girls and boys. The hostels are provided with facilities for entertainment, dining, in-door games and internet browsing. The common amenities in hostels include health centres, fitness centre, gym, and cooperative stores that are located close to the hostels. The university tries to provide comfortable stay to students.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute arranges several events, seminars, and various fests for students. The university has a computer Centre which was established in 1989. The university even has a Physical Education and Yoga Centre. These centres are helpful in overall development of the students.
