Further, students are trained for four months as a Trainee Marine Engineer on a ship. Once this is done, students are trained for six months as a Junior Engineer on the ship.

Yes, candidates who are selected after personal interview for admission to GEIMS Pune have to undergo a comprehensive medical examination in Mumbai. The details regarding the medical assessment is provided to the students by the admission team. Only after completion of the medical examination, candidates are offered final admission in the institute.
