The evaluation of students, in any course, is a continuous process. Normally, the performance of students in the mid-term examination (s), end-term examination, quizzes/short tests, tutorials, assignments, laboratory work and attendance is used to award the letter grade at the end of the semester. The relative performance of students is considered while awarding the letter grades. The CGPA of a student is a numerical indicator of his/her academic performance in all the courses that he/she has registered up to and including the last completed semester. The computation of CGPA is similar to that of SGPA. Thus, Where the summation, now, is over all the courses that the student has registered till the completion of the last semester. Whenever a student is permitted to repeat or substitute a course, only the new grade is used in the computation of CGPA (the original grade is ignored).
