It depends on your options, LNMIIT as a college is a good college but mechanical as a branch was introduced very recently, although it is growing at a rapid rate. We have established societies for mechanical students like ASME and LNMIIT was also the host for recent ASME E-fest Asia Pacific. Placement-wise the statistics aren't available but it was not good this year only 5-10 student selected for core branch.
If although you have some other options where the branch is more established then you should go for them.

CCE branch is good enough because it is a combo of both electronics and computer science and gives you a better understanding of both the branches. The difference between CCE and IT is that it contains only computer-related topics, not electronics related.

If you think that fees are not affordable, even if you take education loan, then you should go to any other college. As you cannot perform well due to load of fees, or if you belong to BPL category, then you can get 100% scholarship on tuition fee.

Yes, you can study machine learning and any other thing in the Computer Science field and at the time of placement, you are also allowed to seat in CS companies.
