No, admissions to the MBBS programme offered at MGR Medical University are strictly entrance-based. Students seeking to apply for the course must fulfil both the eligibility and selection criteria prior to applying. Aspirants are required to appear for the NEET UG entrance exam to be eligible for the course. Hence, a students can not join MGR Medical University MBBS course without NEET. The students may connect with the admission help desk of the university for further admission related queries, including the possibility of direct admissions.

At MGR Medical University, students can pursue the BSc programme across multiple specialisations. The eligibility criteria for the course is same across all of the specialisations. Students must pass Class 12 or equivalent with a minimym aggregate of 40% from a recognised board to be eligible for the programme. MGR Medical University provides Doctor of Pharmacy course through its various affiliated colleges. The fee varies as per the college. Pharma D programme at MGR Medical University ranges between INR 1.3 lakh and INR 18.2 lakh. It is certainly on the expensive end of the spectrum when compared to some of the other Doctor of Pharmacy programmes offered by other universities. Students may be eligible for tuition fee waivers provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria required for it.
