The University of Northampton is a public research university in Northampton, England. The university was founded in 1999 with the amalgamation of various training colleges. And, in 2005 the University of Northampton received full university status. The university traces its roots to Northampton Technical College which was established in 1924 and Nene College in 1975. Nene College was formed by the amalgamation of the College of Education, College of Technology, and College of Art.
