The Global Excellence Scholarship is open to students from all countries. To be eligible for the scholarship the students must have received an offer for an undergraduate course at the University of Western Australia. Moreover, the student should have achieved a minimum ATAR of 85.00 and WAM of minimum of 65.00. The University automatically access the eligibility of the student from the scholarship.

UWA secured the rank of #77 in 2025. In another-ranking publisher listings, UWA ranks at #149 in the world in 2025. In both the world-rankings, this university's rank has declined in 2025. Still UWA ranks among the Top 200 Universities in the world. For the rankings of 2024-25, UWA ranks at #91 in the Global Universities category ranking.
