Yes, phones are allowed in the hostels of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Tirupati. However, there are some restrictions on their use. Phones must be switched off or put on silent mode during lectures and other academic activities. They should also not be used in the library or other common areas where they may disturb others. If a phone is found to be used in violation of these rules, it may be confiscated by the hostel authorities. The hostel fees for SVIMS Tirupati are Rs.70,000/- per academic year. IIT Tirupati offers the four-year BTech across five specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Admission to all these BTech courses is based on their JEE Main and JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA counselling.
