The TISSNET cutoff for MA in Human Resource Management for various categories varies every year. The cutoff for TISSNET is released on the basis of number of seats, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, category and difficulty level of the exam. To qualify for the TISSNET 2024 exam candidates are required to meet the cutoff criteria mentioned in the scorecard. The TISSNET 2023 cutoff (previous year) of various categories for MA in HRM programme is as follows:General- 63Economically Weaker Section- 60Scheduled Caste- 54Other Backward Class- 58Candidates who met the above mentioned cutoff criteria could appear for the Online Assessment rounds (Extempore and Online Personal Interview). Authorities releases the separate cutoff for General Awareness section. the cutoff for GA was revised as a subsequent to answer key review: GN, EWS, KM, AF- 12 OBC and PWD- 11 SC and ST- no cutoff

All the qualified candidates will be required to upload relevant documents on TISS website and pay the admission fee. The subsequent events include a medical checkup, physical verification of documents, and confirmation of admission at the respective campuses. All candidates selected for admission are required to report to the respective campuses for document verification. Here is the list of documents required for physical verification:
1. 10th, 12th, and degree original mark sheets and certificates
2. TISSNET Admit card and scorecard
3. 5 passport size photographs
4. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
5. Income Certificate (if applicable). .

TISSNET 2024 first merit list for admission to M.A. Programme is announced soon after the Online Assessment round are conducted. The first merit list is expected to release in third week of May 2024 at admissions.tiss.edu. Candidates who will appear for the TISS selection process will be able to check their admission status in the merit list. Candidates must note that appearing for the TISS Online Assessment rounds does not guarantee seats to the candidates at the TISS campus. To check the TISS first merit list candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:Step 1- Visit the official website of TISS Mumbai or copy the link- tiss. edu.Step 2- The screen will display the list of shortlisted candidates under various categories.Step 3- Candidates can check if they are shortlisted by pressing 'ctrl+F'.Step 4- Type the registration number.

Candidates' aggregate score is calculated on the basis of the TISSNET score and performance in Online Assessment rounds. Candidates will be given final weightage on the basis of which the seats will be offered. As per the TISS notification, the weightage for each round is as follows:Stage 1: TISSNET exam: It will be centre-based objective-type test with a maximum of 100 marks. The weightage for the TISSNET exam is final computation will be 50 percent.Stage 2: Online Assessments: OA round will be divided into two components: Extempore and Online Interview. In the extempore round candidates will have to give a reflection on a given topic. The extempore is for 100 marks and carries the weightage of 20 percent. Whereas Personal Interview will also be of 100 marks and will carry a weightage of 30 percent.

Candidates who will appear for the Online Assessment must follow the important tips for preparation mentioned below:Know the programme: Candidates must ensure to familiarise themselves with the programme they have applied for. Candidates must know the programme structure and learning areas. 2. The latest events: Candidates must stay updated with the current events happening related to the programme applied for. Candidates must focus on reading articles and newspapers. 3. Enhance communication skills: Extempore and Personal Interview round assesses the candidate's communication skills. To enhance the skill, candidates must practice by preparing for common interview questions like a brief about themselves, inspiration to pursue this field of study, strengths and weaknesses; and How to improve the weaknesses; and Long-term career goals; how to handle stress and pressure and so forth. 4. Listening skills: Along with communication skills, candidates must focus on enhancing listening skills. 5. No use of non-verbal communication 6. Review DAF: Candidates must read their Detail Application Form before appearing for Online Assessment rounds. 7. Do not fake academic achievements 8. Ask questions: The better way to end the conversation is by asking questions to panel members related to the programme applied to demonstrate the candidate's interest in the programme.

The TISS Online Assessment round is divided into two stages: Extempore reflection and Personal Interview. The Online Assessment will be conducted for 20-30 minutes. In the Extempore round of the TISS Online Assessment, candidates will be asked to present a reflection on a given topic in front of the three panel members. The extempore round will be conducted online via Zoom application. The topic will be in accordance with the program applied for. Candidates will have to present the reflection for a duration of two to three minutes. In case, candidates are not comfortable with the first topic, they can request for second chance and change the topic. However, candidates will not be given a third chance to change the topic. Tata Institute of Social Sciences has restructured the TISSNET selection process during the COVID-19 breakout. As per the latest TISSNET selection process, Pre-Interview Test stand cancelled, instead Online Assessment rounds are conducted for final admission. TISSNET online Assessment is conducted for a duration of 20-30 minutes by three panel members online. The OA process is conducted online via Zoom application. It consists of the following rounds:
1. Extempore reflection on a given topic: This will be conducted for a duration of two-three minutes.
