Admission to Jaya Engineering College (JEC), Thiruninravur, Chennai, for the B.E./B.Tech degree course is usually done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) which mainly recruits students on the merit basis of their 12th-class results. Students from states other than Tamil Nadu have the opportunity to get into this college based on individual requirements and without TNEA as they apply directly to the college with the management quota. This involves meeting the minimum academic qualification in college, and there could be some additional fees, so one should contact the admissions office directly to learn more.

Admission to the B.E./B.Tech programmes in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College (DSEC) is based primarily on TNEA counseling, which takes into account the marks scored in 12th standard. But candidates can also seek admission through the management quota or through specific categories, where admission will not be strictly based on TNEA scores. In these cases, candidates may need to undergo a separate counseling process or fulfill other conditions set by the college.

Actually, it is possible to admit to the B.E./B.Tech course without TNEA in the A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology (ARJCET) through the management quota. Even though TNEA is the main road for class 12-mark admissions, the college may conduct direct admission under the management quota, which usually do not demand the TNEA rank. However, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria, like having the required marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the class 12 level. It is always better to contact the college's admission office for specific details regarding the management quota.
