Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify TNTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for TNTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board.
