Preparation is key. Candidates are advised to start early as this would give them ample time to set time aside for the revision of the study material. As the saying goes, no one size fits all. Hence, there is no set method that would guarantee you a successful TOEFL performance. candidates should work on their strengths, improve their weaknesses, and above all be honest in their preparation.

The TOEFL exam is conducted over 170 times a year at authorized test centers, primarily in the internet-based format (TOEFL iBT). Candidates can retake the exam as many times as they wish, although they must wait at least 12 days between attempts. In addition to the iBT format, the paper-based TOEFL (TOEFL PBT) is offered four times a year in locations where internet testing is not available. Overall, the TOEFL provides ample opportunities for candidates to schedule their tests throughout the year.

Candidates should note that both TOEFL and IELTS are English language tests that have been designed for the benefit of students wanting to study in English speaking country abroad. These English proficiency tests will examine the English proficiency skills of the applicant and inform the university whether the candidate is fit for the curriculum. Hence, both exams have been created at par with each other.

Hello Udaykiran, you are already in the third year of engineering and now you are thinking of leaving this and joining a college in US for graduation that is based on your 12th. Right? In this way you are bound to lose your three years in engineering college. I would rather prefer that you complete your engineering in another one year and then go for MS to USA. On the other hand if you are able to afford the cost of graduation in US institution then you can think of leaving your graduation halfway and preparing well so that you get admission in a good institution for graduation in USA. Best wishes to you.

Yes you can definitely apply if you have that confidence to crack it! But your admission in respective colleges will depend on their respective eligibility criteria. There is nothing called average, be confident & prepare well for english vocabs & LRDI.
