Tolani Maritime Institute- TMI Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for getting admission into B.Tech TMI is as follows:-Qualifying the entrance test - IMUCET and TMISAT is mandatory.Candidate must have completed the senior secondary examination (12th class) or equivalent with atleast 60% in PCM and atleast 50% in English in either class 10th or class 12th.For the 2023 batch, male candidates born on or after 1st September 2002 are eligible. Female candidates should be born on or after 1st September 2000. There is also a two-year age relaxation for female candidates.The candidates should be unmarried.The candidate has to meet the minimum physical fitness and medical criteria laid down by the University.

Eligibility for ETO course:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have passed 12th Board examination (Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects), from a Recognized Board. Minimum marks criteria is around 50% marks in P,C and M Subjects. Apart from this schooling requirement, candidate must also possess Diploma (3 years long course) or Bachelors Degree (4 years long B.E./B.Tech. program) in any of the following Discipline- Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or other such relevant Branches. In case of Diploma holders, minimum marks criteria is 60% marks and in case of Degree holders case, it is 50% marks.
MEDICAL AND PHYSICAL STANDARDS
Candidate should be physically fit as per Merchant Shipping rules to take on sea faring role. Eyesight should also satisfy the norms set in Merchant Shipping rules.
AGE LIMIT
Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age at the time when the course starts.
