After acquiring the MBA Tourism and travel management degree, a graduate student can work at state tourism development corporations, hotels, airports and shopping malls, expecting a salary between 20,000 to 45,000 INR per month. Companies like Radisson Blu, Lemon Tree hotels, Life data-style and Thomas Cook etc. are big time employers of MBA Tourism and travel management graduates.

No, its certainly not necessary to do MBA if you want to come a travel journalist. Being a travel Journalist is more about knowing and understanding the culture and aura of place you visit. I will suggest with your studies also start exploring different places near by and shoot documentaries. will help in your communication skills and also how you look at different aspects of cultural diversity.
All the best.
