SRM IST Trichy (Deemed-To-Be-University) admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts SRMJEEE for admission to BTech programme. IIM Trichy is one of the top B schools in the country. It was established in 2011 and is known for offering postgraduate management programmes. Despite being a comparatively new IIM, IIM Trichy has been conducting really successful placement drives for its students. The increased intake hasn't affetcted the placement numbers and the opportunities created by the institute for students. In 2024, the institute successfully placed its PGPM students with the highest package of INR 43.69 LPA.
