The Applicant must have also secured 50% marks in English as well. A person can go for this course upto the age of 25 years. If a person is fulfilling this academic eligibility criteria, then they must also fulfill some course-specific eligibility criteria that is :-Candidates should be physically fit for sea service with 6/6 eye sight in better eye. 6/9 eyesight with no colour blindness in the other eye. The Candidate will have to appear for the IELTS examination for English proficiency with a minimum of 5.5 band. The Course is for 2 years in which the Candidate needs to pursue 1st year course in Indian Maritime College and for 2nd year, Candidates will be sent out of India generally U.K.
