As per the past year's trends, TSICET exam is considered easy to moderate in terms of difficulty standards. Candidates have to work on their speed as well as accuracy to score well in TSICET. Wroking on time management for TSICET exam shall require the test takers to participate in mock test series. Additionally, candidates would have to practice using the past question papers to get a fair idea of the exam structure, important topics, weightage of topics, and more. A candidate who is aware of basic exam details and has a good hold on the speed can score well in TSICET exam with minimal preparation.

Candidates can refer to the Mathematics textbooks prescribed until Class 12 by the education board in India. Mathematical Ability questions in TSICET are based on the 10+2 level syllabus. Some of the important books for TSICET Mathematical Ability preparation include
1) Mathematics for MBA Entrance Examinations by Dr. RS Aggarwal
2) Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Rajesh Verma
3) Mathematics Class 11th and 12th by RD Sharma
Besides the above-mentioned books, candidates can also refer to the NCERT books which are readily available online as well as in the nearby bookstore.

Candidates preparing for TSICET need not buy any book if they already have books from which they prepared for any other MBA entrance exam. However, if TS ICETB is the only exam for which the candidate is planning to appear, following factors must be kept in mind to choose a book:
1. Check the table of content and book edition
2. Check if the book has its content arranged systematically
3. Read reviews whether the book is for advanced level preparation or basic preparation
4. Author and publisher
5. Does it contain a question bank?
6. Does it have section wise distribution?

To score high in TSICET exam a candidate must follow an approach to attempt the questions for which he/she knows the answer, and guess the question for which he/she doesn't know the answer. Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam is considered the easiest section among all the sections. Telangana ICET has questions from three sections, namely Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Besides the difficulty standards, TSICET exam's Communication Ability section has the least questions, that is 50 questions. TSICET exam and CAT exam are conducted for MBA Admission. While TSICET exam is conducted for admission to colleges in Telangana, CAT is conducted for national level admission. TSICET syllabus is similar to CAT syllabus. All three sections included in the TSICET exam have a place in the CAT syllabus. Although CAT is highly competitive, candidates can use CAT books to prepare for TSICET exam as well. Telangana ICET exam pattern mentions the sections, marking scheme and number of questions in the question paper. As per the TSICET exam pattern, the question paper comprises 200 questions.
