UCEED Scores

The selection process for B.Des (Bachelor of Design) involves the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED). The UCEED 2024 Information Brochure by IIT Bombay states that obtaining a rank in UCEED 2024 does not guarantee admission to the B.Des program. The brochure also mentions that hard copies of the UCEED Score Card will not be available. The selection process for B.Des at LISAA School of Design involves two stages, and admission to the B.Des programme will be based on UCEED 2023 merit rank, conducted through a Joint Admission Process. The UCEED cutoff is based on the total marks obtained in both Part A and Part B of the exam, and a good score in UCEED is one that secures a rank within the top 100 candidates. The UCEED score is used for admission to several B.Des programs across partner institutes. The UCEED score is valid for one year, and candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years

The selection process for B.Des at LISAA School of Design involves two stages: an entrance exam and portfolio review, followed by a Design Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. The minimum UCEED score is not fixed, but generally 80% or higher is recommended. The UCEED eligibility criteria include the minimum marks required in both Part A and Part B of the exam. The UCEED cutoff marks for B.Des admission are released by IIT Bombay and are based on various factors such as the total number of candidates appearing in the exam, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, and the total number of seat intake. UCEED score, candidates may also need to fulfill other eligibility criteria such as age limit, education qualification, and portfolio presentation.  

The UCEED question paper will be of 3 hours and include two parts - The computer-based Part A and the offline-based Part B. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the paper. Also, Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for Part A before the declaration of results. Part A will include the following types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Multiple Select Question (MSQ) Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Note that IIT Bombay has revised the UCEED 2025 syllabus and UCEED 2025 exam pattern.For instance, Part A will now include 57 questions (down from 68), while Part B will include 2 questions (up from 1).
