The closing rank for IIT Hyderabad in 2022 was 43. So, if you secure a merit rank of 3 in the UCEED 2024 exam, you chances of admission to the B. Des will be very low. To have a good chance of admission into the institute, you must target a UCEED 2024 merit rank within the top 40. However, note that if you belong to reserved categories, in that case the cut-off would be lower. Further, you will be considered for admission under both the reserved category and open category.

IIT Bombay is among the most popular institutes to pursue a design course in India. So, it is no surprise that cut-off for admission to the institute is pretty high. For instance, for the academic session 2022-23, the Round I cut-off rank for the Open category was 16. The category-wise cut-off ranks for OBC-NCL category was 14, while the cut-off was 5 for SC and 3 for ST. Note that cut-off tends to get lower as we move from the 1st to the 3rd round of seat allotment. This happens because if there is any vacancy, it is allotted to the candidate next in the order of merit.

The qualifying cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be prepared based on the following formulae: Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. The cutoffs (Delta) for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the OPEN category will be Mu+ (sigma/2) = Delta, where Mu and sigma are the average marks and standard deviation of distribution of marks obtained by ALL the candidates in Part-A of UCEED 2025. The Mu, sigma, and Delta will be rounded-off to two decimal places. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be 0.9Delta for OBC-NCL/EWS, 0.5Delta for SC/ST/PwD, where

Yes, the cut-off for UCEED will be released separately for each round of seat allotment. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria in their respective categories will be considered for admission to the B. Des programme. Also, the cut-off for each round will be different for various categories like OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, etc. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria for the category in a specific round will be eligible for admission to the B. Des programme. In case of candidates who fail to meet the cut-off in the first few rounds will be considered for admission in subsequent rounds.

IIT Bombay will release the question paper and answer keys for UCEED 2024 soon after the conclusion of the design entrance exam. However, it may be noted that the order in which a question appears may differ for each candidate. So, the candidates must use the Master Question Paper uploaded on the official UCEED website. Use it as a reference to upload comments or feedback against the draft key. If comments are uploaded using the Master Question Paper, it will help the committee to map the candidates comments/queries to the right question.

IIT Bombay releases the answer keys of the UCEED exam along with the question paper. The answer keys contain the correct keys to the questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidate thus by comparing their answers with those given in the answer key can calculate the number of correct attempts and thus probable scores. Currently, the UCEED IIT Bombay admission portal has the question papers and answer keys of UCEED from 2025 -2023. However, it may be noted that IIT Bombay does not release the solutions for questions included in the question paper. The candidate may, however, checkout the websites of coaching institutes for solutions.
