It is of paramount importance that the candidate follows the official exam pattern to prepare for UCEED 2024. It is because the exam pattern will provide insights into the types of questions asked, sections covered, marking scheme, mode of the exam, etc. Unless the candidates has any knowledge of these subjects, it will be like searching for a needle in a haystack. Also, note that IIT Bombay has revised the syllabus for UCEED 2024. As per the revised pattern, the Part B question paper will now include a drawing and an Design Aptitude question. Also, the test duration for Part B is increased to 60 minutes from 30 minutes.

The candidate needs to remember the following points about Part B question paper of UCEED 2024:
Part-B will now include only TWO questions
The question for the section will shown on the computer monitor. The candidate after reading the question has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate. Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before declaration of results.

IIT Bombay has revised syllabus for the UCEED 2024 exam. As per the revised syllabus, the exam conducting has released the part-wise topics that candidates need to prepare for the exam. It has also released some basic information related to the new exam pattern, for instance the Part B will now include two questions (instead of one), while the test duration for the part has been increased to 60 minutes (from 30 minutes). IIT Bombay will release the full details about the UCEED 2024 in its information brochure. Note that the information brochure will be released sometime in September 2023.

IIT Bombay has released a notification on its official website notifying that the UCEED exam starting in 2024 will be conducted following a revised syllabus. As per the revised syllabus, there has also been some changes to the UCEED 2024 exam pattern. For instance, the Part B question paper will now include two questions - 1) one question will be on Drawing and 2) the other question will be on Design Aptitude. Note that previously, Part B included a solitary, drawing-based question. Also, the time duration for Part B has been increased to 60 minutes from 30 minutes.

The Part A question paper will include three sections. Of these three sections, Section 2 will include 32 multiple-choice questions. Each of these questions will carry 3 marks, while 0.71 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. So, the total marks for the section will be 96 marks. Each MCQ will be followed by four answer choices. Out of these four choices, only one is the correct answer.

The UCEED 2024 question paper for Part A will include sections. Section 2 of the paper will include 18 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Each MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice (s) out of the four given. The following marking scheme will be followed for MSQ-type questions:
Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option (s) is (are) chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Section 1 of the UCEED question paper 2024 will include NAT (Numerical Answer Type). There will be a total of 18 questions, each carrying 4 marks. There is no negative marking for an incorrect attempt. For NAT-type questions, the answer will be a number that the candidate needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen. Note that the candidate will not be given any choices for these questions.

The UCEED 2024 exam will have two parts - Part A and Part B. As per the previous pattern, Part A will be conducted in a computer-based mode at various test centres across the country. The question paper for Part A will include three types of questions NAT MSQ, and MCQ type questions. The test duration for Part A will be 2 hour 30 minutes. Note that there has been some changes to the UCEED 2024 exam pattern for Part B. The paper will now include two questions - A design-based question and a Design Aptitude question. Also, the test duration for Part B has been increased to 60 minutes (from 30 minutes). .

IIT Bombay will release the detailed exam pattern for UCEED 2024 tentatively in September 2024. The exam pattern will be outlined in the information brochure for the UCEED 2024 exam. The candidate will be able to download the brochure online at UCEED. Iitb. AC. In. Note that no log-in is required to download the information brochure. To download the brochure, simply go to the portal, and click on the Information Brochure tab. The brochure will open in downloadable pdf format. Download a pdf copy of the brochure.
