No, candidates who have qualified CAT/ MAT/ WB JEMAT/ IEMCET need to appear for GDPI round. Candidates who have qualified CAT/ MAT/ WB JEMAT with at least 85 percentile can appear directly for GDPI round. However, candidates with score less than 85 percentile, need to first appear for the UEM Entrance Test followed by a GDPI round. A pass in graduation with at least 60% aggregate & above in Science/ Management (70% aggregate & above for Engineering) is required to apply for MBA and part-time MBA course. For admission to BTech at UEM Kolkata, candidates must fulfil the basic educational qualification as per the course requirements. Interested candidates must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with minimum 70% aggregate. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12. This eligibility criteria is common for all BTech specialisations. Also, candidates must hold a good score in IEMJEE examination for admission.

Yes, candidates are not required to appear for WBJEE exam to get admission to BTech. UEM does not consider WBJEE score for providing admission to the BTech course. However, candidates are shortlisted for BTech course based on IEMJEE score followed by a counselling round. Candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 70% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 are eligible to apply for BTech specialisations.

The total tuition fee for BTech course ranges between INR 5.6 lakh - INR 5.9 lakh. Candidates who will qualify all the selection rounds for BTech admission will be required to pay the course to confirm their seat in the institute. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates will also require to pay a registration fee to apply for admission.
