History Paper 2 comprised questions about early, medieval, and modern history in equal weightage. However, no questions were asked from Post Independent Sections. The Chronological, Books and Authors' questions were dominant in the question paper. A few questions were repeated from last year like questions related to Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Dara Sikoh, Mughal Battles, etc. On the other hand, the paper 1 in the History UGC NET exam was easy to moderate in nature whereas the Maths was on the difficult side according to the candidates who taken the UGC NET exam 2023.

The overall difficulty level was moderate in nature. The questions were asked from the Sunk cost, GDS's current, SAARC, Producer Surplus, Consumer Surplus, Probability (Heads and Tails, Cross Elasticity Demand, Chronology (Bank Rate, Repo Rate), Tax Multiplier, Benefit Principle, Population Theory, etc. The difficulty level of Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature. The questions from the ICT were difficult in nature. Other than this, the teaching aptitude, research aptitude, and Maths were easy to moderate in nature.

The overall difficulty level was moderate in nature. The chronological questions were dominant in the paper. This year, more factual questions were asked rather than theory based questions. UGC NET Mass Communication Paper 2 was also moderate in nature. Paper 2 comprised questions from all the sections with equal weightage. The paper 1 easy to moderate nature for the mass communication. However, the Maths section was moderately difficult in nature according to the candidates appeared in the exam.

The Paper comprised questions from Indian Political Thought, Chipko Movement, International Relations (1945), Comparative Public Administrations, Acceptance Theory, Public Policy (Paragraph), Current Affairs (Military Exercise), Indian Foreign Policy, Containment Theory (Who Coined), Kautilya Theory (Suptang), etc. On the other hand, the UGC NET paper 1 difficulty was easy to moderate. The UGC NET Political Science exam was carried out on March 6, 2023 in two shifts.
