NTA and UGC updated the guidelines for the UGC NET exam from the June cycle exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June application on April 20, 2024. The last date for the UGC NET application form was May 19, 2024. However, the candidates could pay the application fee for the NTA NET June cycle till May 20, 2024, and application correction window was activated between May 21 to 23, 2024. The NTA UGC NET exam is scheduled to be conducted between August 21 to September 4, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET notification for the June cycle 2024 on April 20, 2024. The NTA NET notification was released  as a PDF that comprises the details of the UGC NET June cycle like application dates, syllabus, eligibility, and more. As per the official website of UGC, candidates after submitting the application forms cannot change any particular such as exam centre. Therefore, it is important for students to carefully choose their preferred exam centre while filling out the application form. The exam centres are allocated to candidates by the National Testing Agency (NTA) but in case there is anything, students can contact the NTA helpdesk for assistance. There is no guarantee that the NTA can make the changes, this is subject to the discretion of the NTA.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) concluded the application and application correction period for the December cycle on October 31 and November 3, 2023, respectively. This extension was granted by the NTA and UGC on October 27, 2023, pushing the original deadlines for application and correction from October 27 to October 31 and from October 31 to November 3, 2023, respectively. To be eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Assistant Professor positions, candidates must engage in the online application process for the UGC NET 2023 exam during the December 2023 cycle.
