The National Testing Agency (NTA) and University Grants Commission (UGC) have not recommended a dress code for taking the UGC NET. Nevertheless, prior to taking the exam, candidates are recommended to do the following:Dress code: No shoes or shoes with heavy soles are acceptable for candidates. Candidates should refrain from dressing in large-buttoned clothing to the testing facility.  Personal belongings: Test-takers are not permitted to bring any purses, cell phones, or electronic equipment like calculators inside the testing facility. The exam authorities will not be in charge of candidates' personal property being kept secure.

To take the UGC NET exam, students must bring the required paperwork to the testing location. The following list of items and documents is what applicants need to bring to their designated UGC NET exam location in 2023: UGC NET admit card: Using their registration ID and birthdate, candidates can download their UGC NET admit card 2023 from the exam's official website.One passport-sized photo: To be pasted on the attendance sheet, candidates must bring one passport-sized photo that matches the one supplied on the UGC NET application form 2023.Photo ID proof: Applicants must also bring an original, valid photo ID to the testing location. Please take note that photocopies of the IDs, whether on mobile devices or attested, will not be accepted. Candidates may present the following documents as proof of identity: PAN card, driver's licence, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card (with photo), Aadhaar enrollment number, and ration card

Candidates shall not be permitted to enter in the Examination Centre after 8.30 am in first shift and after 2.30 pm in second shift. Furthermore, candidates should report to the exam room at 8:45 AM for the first shift and 2:45 PM for the second shift .Some important exam day instructions-Candidates must reach the test centre according to the reporting time mentioned on the admit card;No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the photo id proof and admit card.Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after 8.30 am in the first shift and after 2.30 pm in the second shift.Candidates should report at the exam room at the centres by 8.45 am in the first shift and by 2.45 pm in the second shift.
