UGC NET 2018 Summary:
On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. Please check for your eligibility to appear for the UGC NET exam at the link provided below:

Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET exam if you have completed the post graduation degree from reputed or UGC recognised university. The eligibility for the UGC NET Exam is that the candidates must have completed post graduation degree with 55% marks from the recognised university. The distance education will be valid if it is done through recognised university. You can apply for the management or commerce subject in UGC NET exam.
And apply for the exam if you are interested.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters Degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). Hi Priyanka, You are not eligible to appear in UGC NET Eam 2018. The UGC NET Exam is conducted by CBSE on the behalf of UGC for the Assistant professor and junior research fellowship award. The eligibility to apply for the exam is post graduation degree with 55% marks from recognised university. However the last year candidates can also apply for the UGC NET Exam. The maximum age limit for the JRF is 30 years while there is no age limit for the assistant professor posts. Yes, your distance education will be deemed valid for any further documentation and formal proceedings in your career. Moreover, I would suggest you to once go through UGC NET brochure as you need to match their criteria, eligibility and requirements too. Whereas, in the case of correspondence courses from LPU, your degree is valid everywhere.

You can do a part time Master's courses. If your graduation background is B.Com, you can do a part time M.Com and later on you can apply for UGC.
