UGC NET Eligibility

The age limit criteria for the UGC NET exam has been given below for the candidates: For JRF: The upper age limit to apply for Junior Research Fellowship is 30 years as on the date of the UGC NET exam. However, there is age relaxation given to the reserved candidates as per the norms of the Indian government. 5 years of age relaxation is given to ST/SC/OBC-NCL/PwD/Tansgender and Female candidates. For Assistant Professorship: There is no upper age limit to apply for the Assistant Professor eligibility exam. The candidates should not that the age is calculated from the date of the exam. Therefore, the candidates should not be more than 30 years of age on the day of UGC NET exam to be eligible for the JRF.
