The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the UGC NET 2024 December session on November 19, 2024. The application form link for UGC NET 2024 is now also available. The UGC NET 2024 exam was cancelled due to compromise in the integrity of the exam. The information of the compromise was provided by the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs on the Examination. the investigation of the UGC NET exam compromise has been handed over to the Crime  Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I). The new exam date for the UGC NET exam will be shared soon.

There is no interval of time between Paper 2 and the UGC NET exam. There are two papers used in the UGC NET exam: 1. First and second papers. All students must complete Paper 1, which comprises of 50 multiple-choice questions worth two marks each. Paper 2 consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), costing two marks each, all of which are based on the topic the candidate chose. It will assess a candidate's capacity for reasoning, their capacity for research and instruction, their comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. The exam must be finished in one sitting by the candidates.

UGC NET 2024 exam will be conducted for a total of 83 subjects. UGC NET exam is conducted by NTA twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Assistant Professor. You would be happy to know that there is no specific limit on the number of attempts for the UGC NET exam. Students can appear as many times as they want to. One thing that they need to keep in mind is that they must meet the eligibility criteria for each attempt. As long as students meet the eligibility, they are allowed to appear for UGC NET exam.
