There are 100 questions in total on UGC NET Paper 2. In Paper 2, each question is worth two marks. 200 marks are the most that can be earned in paper 2. The second UGC NET Paper evaluates candidates' subject-matter knowledge. Paper 2 is designed to evaluate applicants' knowledge and is subject-specific in nature. Part 1 and Part 2 comprise the two portions of the Paper 2. There are ten questions in Part 1 and ninety questions in Part 2.

Solving sample papers is not necessary to crack the exam but practising more and more questions and having an exam day environment is highly beneficial in preparing for the exam. There are several reasons why practising sample papers before exams js often recommended some of which are familiarity with exam patterns, time management, identifying weak areas, building confidence, improving speed and accuracy, understanding question papers, revisions and many more. While solving the question paper is recommended it is also important to have a clear understanding of exam pattern, syllabus, topics etc.

There is no such thing as "ideal". The number of sample papers and their frequency varies from person to person. The number of sample papers to be solved before the UGC NET exam depends on the individual's preparation level, strengths and weaknesses. The first stage in the preparation is to understand and complete the syllabus. Once you're thorough with the syllabus, move to practice. It is right saying - Practice makes you perfect. In the initial days, try to solve 3-4 sample papers in a week and slowly increase the frequency. By solving more and more sample papers, aspirants get a better understanding of the exam pattern. The UGC NET exam consists of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The section-wise weightage of each paper is as follows:
Paper 1:
a)Teaching Aptitude: 5 questions (10 marks)

No, candidates are not allowed to take the UGC NET question paper or any other exam-related material outside the examination hall after the Computer Based Test (CBT) is over. The UGC NET question paper is the property of the National Testing Agency NTA and it is not meant to be shared or circulated. However, candidates are allowed to take a printout of the questions and their responses which is released by the NTA along with the provisional answer key. The National Testing Agency upload the UGC NET Question Paper on its the official site. The question papers were only available for a very short time so, candidates who were not able to download the papers on that particular interval can download the question papers from the other websites. If you are preparing for the upcoming NET Exam then, the previous question paper will help you to know about the topics which are mostly asked in the exam.
