The UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency to select the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship. If you are interested to pursue your career in these fields than it is good to appear in the UGC NET Exam. Hello,
A candidate who wish to appear for UGC NET 2019 conducted by NTA must satisfy all the defined standards. NTA UGC NET Eligibility includes Age limit & educational qualification. Check the Age Limit for Lectureship & Assistant Professor
There is no age limit to appear for UGC NET lectureship. Below check the Age Limit for UGC NET JRF

Hello, There are two Papers in UGC NET exam I.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for all the subject whereas Paper 2 is based on the subject that you choose to appear in the exam. A total of 150 questions asked in the exam (50 from Paper 1 and 100 from Paper 2). Two marks will be awarded for each answer. There will be no negative marking. In UGC NET Paper 1, 5 questions will be asked from each Unit. So, this is the marking scheme of the UGC NET Exam. Hello Amrit, If you are interested in lectureship or research, or want to apply for higher studies, then apply for UGC NET exam. UGC NET exam is held for various 84 subjects in commerce, arts music, language and many more. UGC NET exam is held twice a year in June and December. After qualifying the exam, you can apply for assistant professor post or JRF. The post graduate candidates can apply for the exam. To prepare for UGC NET you must start ensure the eligibility. Thereafter keep yourself updated with alerts as in syllabus, notification and pattern. Focus on self study with a proper study plan and good study materials. Keep in touch with your faculty members for the concepts and refer notes of Masters in case you get stuck somewhere. There are some reservation criteria in UGC NET Exam for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Transgenders. If you qualify the UGC NET Exam with having 54% aggregate marks in postgraduation, it is fine.
