Candidates appearing for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) in 2024 are required to carry the following documents to the examination centre:UGC NET Admit Card: The admit card is a mandatory document that candidates must carry to the examination centre. It contains important information about the candidate and serves as a proof of their candidature. Photo ID Proof: Candidates must also carry a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. The ID proof can be any one of the following - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Passport, PAN Card, Driving License, or any other government-issued ID proof. Passport-sized Photographs: Candidates must carry two passport-sized photographs to the examination centre. The photographs should be the same as the one uploaded during the online application process. It is important to note that candidates who fail to carry any of these documents to the examination centre will not be allowed to appear for the UGC NET exam. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they have all the necessary documents well in advance to avoid any last-minute hassle.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opens the correction window for the candidates after the closure of the UGC NET application form. The candidates can correct the mistakes that they have done while filling out the UGC NET application form. On the specific date released by the NTA, candidates can make corrections to their application form through the candidates' login. To log into the registered account the candidates have to use their application number and date of birth. After the login, the candidates can correct their mistakes. However, the NTA does not allow some changes to the application form that are given below:No change allowed in the mobile number, email address, permanent address & correspondence addressNo change allowed in candidate’s name, date of birth and genderNo change is allowed in the photoChange is allowed either in the father’s name or mother’s name (any one only)The candidates' who do not verify their Adhaar Card can make corrections to the candidate's name, date of birth, and gender. 

The UGC NET exam is taken for the candidates who are interested in PhD research and teaching as Assistant professor in colleges and univeristies of India. However, there are other career opportunities other than being Assisatnt Professor or a Research Scholar. The candidates who qualified for the UGC NET exam can apploy for the PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) such as Indian Oil Corporlation limited (IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Oil and Natural Gas Corportaion (ONGC), etc. The candidates who do not want to join any PSU can take up other options like online tutor, open their own coaching centres, guest faculty, consultant, Lab Trainer, IP lead, Author, Editor, Transmission Executive, Program Executive, etc. For conclusion we can say that the candidates qualifying for the UGC NET exam can take up any job they want or start their ow business after clearing one of the most the toughest exams in India.
