The NTA changed the UGC NET 2024 examination dates that were released earlier. Instead of January 1, it started on January 3, 2025. The last date of an exam is January 27, 2025. NTA postponed the January 15 exam. The new dates are January 21 and 27, 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting UGC NET December 2024 for (i) 'awardof Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor', (ii) 'appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.' and (iii) 'admission to Ph.D. only' for 85 subjects in CBT, mode.

Yes, you may opt for Economics as the Paper 2 Major for UGC NET if your UG is in B.A. Economics and your PG in MBA HR and Marketing. The UGC NET Paper 2 gives flexibility to the student to select his subject accordingly based on his academic record.

The cut off marks for UGC NET 2024 exam are as follows.  Minimum qualifying scoreGeneral (Not retained) .40% combined in both papersOBC, SC, ST, PWD, and transgenderAggregate marks of 35% in both the papers.To qualify in the UGC NET exam, candidates must clear Paper 1 and Paper 2. Top 6% candidates who clear the minimum marks will be eligible for the position of Assistant Professor. To qualify for the UGC NET exam, candidates must have a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.

Hello! GreetingsUGC NET exam pattern 2024 is prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to the exam pattern, the UGC NET 2024 exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The time duration of the UGC NET exam is 3 hours (180 minutes). Both papers contain objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). A total of 150 questions are given to the candidates combining paper 1 and paper 2. UGC NET exam does not have a negative marking scheme.
