You can apply to the UGC NET exam for the Visual Art subject. There is no separate subject of fashion technology in UCG NET. Therefore, those who have done their Masters in the design courses may apply to the subject code 79, "Visual Art. "
You may have to study a few new topics, like the history of art, to prepare for this subject. You need to have a minimum of 55% in your MFT degree to be eligible for the UGC NET. You can check the syllabus for this subject at this Shiksha page: https://www.shiksha.com/exams/ugc-net-exam-syllabus.

University Grant Commission accepts distance education as well as regular education but the condition is that the institution/college and the course must be dually accredited and approved by the University Grant Commission. For University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test, the minimum qualification required to apply is a postgraduate degree. Yes, you are eligible to apply for UGC NET after the PG Diploma course. UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:
UGC NET Age Limit:
Students should not be more than 31 years of age in order to be eligible for National Test Agency, National Eligibility Test, or Junior Research Fellow. First and foremost, you need to understand that the vacancies are less in comparison to the number of candidates clearing UGC NET JRF every year. And more vacancies cannot be generated until or unless more institutions are constituted. Therefore, you will have to take it with a pinch of salt that clearing UGC NET JRF does not guarantee a job. It is not that you will sit idle after having a NET/JRF qualification or your hard work will go waste.
