Umea University is a public research university, therefore, the application fee for domestic and international students may vary. Umea University application fee for international students is SEK 900/INR 6,943. This application fee must be received by Umea University by the fee dedline in order for your application to be processed. There are no application or tuition fees for citizens from an EU/EEA country (or Switzerland). All international students are required to pay an application fees. *SEK/INR = 7.71

Yes, Umea University offers a variety of scholarships for international students. Umea University scholarships are awarded to talented and high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA. Umea University scholarships offered are in the form of tuition-waivers. Selected candidates receive a full or partial waiver of the tuition fee. Only applicants with a Umea University programme as priority 1 or second year master students at Umea University (i.e. students who are currently in their first master year) are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
